Third-year public relations student Linda Rodriguez recently attended Austin City Limits music festival located in Zilker Park. This was Linda's first time attending ACL, and she had a memorable experience.
What were you expecting at ACL?
I was expecting to see my favorite band of all time, Kings of Leon and Pearl Jam. I knew it was going to be packed and I knew I wasn't going to be too close but I really wanted to be there. I really didn't have an idea and didn't know how big this festival would be.
What was your favorite part about ACL?
After waiting more than three hours, standing up without moving, in between people before it started, we got to be ten feet away from the actual stage. We shoved and we pushed, and somehow towards the end I caught Nathan Followill's, drumstick! (He's the drummer from Kings of Leon) I was so shocked, but it didn't hit me until the guy whom I fought for the drumstick congratulated me, but told me he hated me.
