Janie Castillo-Flores is the Financial Analyst of the Advertising/PR Department. She coordinates many Department activities, manages the budget and works with the faculty to prepare the course schedule. Janie oversees many projects and supervises the office staff.
Danielle serves as the main point of contact for the office. Generally the first to assist students with any concerns and help them solve their problems, she also serves as a contact between faculty and staff. Danielle organizes all course syllabi, grade reporting, final exam information and annual reports.
Laura Luthy is one of the Undergraduate Advisors for Public Relations majors. Laura is an alumnus of the College of Communication having earned her BS in Radio-TV-Film from The University of Texas in 1976. She has worked at UT since 1988 and as an Academic Advisor since 1990. She has been advising PR students since 2006. She can assist PR majors with course selection, degree progression, campus resources referrals, degree certification and internship referrals. A true fact about Laura is that she helped organize the first ever Lavender Graduation ceremony on UT campus in the spring of 2008! She also is the Co-Chair of the Family Weekend events held at the College of Communication in the fall.
Lisa handles accounts payable, account reconciliation, travel reimbursement and purchasing for the Advertising Department. In addition to her accounting duties, she is the inventory contact, coordinates TA/AI offices and processes scholarships for the Stickell Internship program. She is active in the College's Purchasing and Accountants Coalition and the College of Communication Staff Enrichment Committee.
Damon O'Brien is an academic advisor in the Office of Student Affairs. Damon works with students in the Department of Advertising and helps them with planning their academic coursework each semester. In addition, he works closely with freshman students participating in the FIG program, as he leads two College FIG seminars each fall semester.
Terry Sawyer is the graduate coordinator for Advertising. In that capacity, he works with graduate students in order to facilitate their timely completion of degree and program administrative requirements.
