Bill, a graduate of Northwestern University, joined the University of Texas faculty in 1997 after a 30 year career with the Leo Burnett Company advertising agency. He is a Lecturer in and has a focus on international advertising.

While at Burnett, Bill worked on a variety of major multi-national accounts. These included Procter and Gamble, Phillip Morris, LVMH, United Distillers, Nestle, Union Carbide, Reebok, Tropicana, the American Bankers Association, Kraft, Pillsbury and McDonald's among others. At various times he was Executive Vice President USA Client Services, President and Representative Director Leo Burnett Japan., part of a three man group managing Leo Burnett Asia-Pacific and a member of the Burnett Global Management Group. As Management Director on the Nestle and Kraft accounts he traveled often to Europe.

Bill has been a guest lecturer at the University of Chicago and Northwestern and participated in Executive Programs at Stanford and Northwestern.

He lives in Austin with his wife and two children.
