Ming-Ching Liang is a PhD student in the Department of Advertising at the University of Texas at Austin. He received a B.S. in psychology from National Taiwan University and an M.A. in advertising from Michigan State University. Prior to his doctoral study, Liang was an elementary school teacher in Taiwan. Working with local businesses, he previously interned at ABC53 in Lansing and MSU Extension. Because of his educational background and experience, he focuses his research on nontraditional advertising and younger consumers. He is interested in consumer generated contents as tools to communicate with children and adolescents, especially the intended and unintended influences of consumer generated contents on the younger groups.
