Ohyoon Kwon is a doctoral student in Advertising at the University of Texas at Austin; M.A., University of Texas at Austin; B.A., Sogang University, Seoul, Korea (Business). His areas of research interest are:

  1. consumers' brand information search and consumption behaviors in the context of interactive communication environments, with a focus on user-generated content
     
  2. different types of emotional attachments between consumers and brands through new media such as social networking sites, blogs, and brand communities
     
  3. health information search behaviors across media with a focus on different types of motivation.

Prior to coming to the University of Texas at Austin, Ohyoon worked in an advertising media agency as a media planner for several years. His past clients include various global advertising agencies and local agencies. In his position, Ohyoon was also responsible for developing an Internet ad-creative delivery and campaign result analysis server and took part in creating a new type of advertising effectiveness index.
