Bill Reeves is a doctoral student in Advertising at The University of Texas at Austin. A third generation Longhorn, he also received both his M.A. (Advertising) and B.S. (Advertising) from The University of Texas at Austin.
His research interest include sports communication, visual communication, celebrity endorsement, and cross-cultural consumer psychology.
His journey in academia has included teaching integrated Communication for Sports and woking as a TA for Advertising Research, Psychology of Advertising, and Intro to Advertising Creativity. Further, he is a two-time recipient of the Tracy-Lock/Morris Hite Endowed Presidential Scholarship in Creative Advertising and was nominated as Outstanding Graduate Student Academic Employee.
Prior to returning to academic life, Bill was a sports and entertainment agent, with 4 of those years spent running his own firm. His clients ranged from Olympic athletes to pop singers, and called anywhere from South Korea to South Africa home.
Outside of his academic pursuits, Bill is a renowned photographer, having exhibited internationally from Norway to Japan. His work resides in the permanent collections of some of the world's most prestigious museums, including Austin's own Harry Ransom Center. He is also a rabid Longhorn football fan, avid music lover, and constantly in motion.
