Ph.D. Student. University of Texas at Austin (Advertising); M.A., University of Florida (Advertising); B.A., National Chengchi University, Taiwan (Advertising).

Jhih-Syuan (Elaine) Lin's research interests are interactive advertising, cross-platform branding, and new media effects. Consistent with her research focus, her master's thesis concludes a cross-media usage model that helps understand TV viewers' behavior before and after they patronize a TV program's official Web site, which also provides practical implications for cross-media communication. This work has been presented at the 2009 American Academy of Advertising (AAA) conference and will be published in the Journal of Broadcasting & Electronic Media (June, 2010). Most recently, she interned at The Dalton Agency (Jacksonville, FL) and worked closely with the public relations, media, and interactive departments (Dalton's major clients include McDonald's, BAE System, Credit Union 24, Jacksonville Jaguars, American Heart Association, United Way, and more).
