Fundraising and Marketing Intern

Salary:

N/A. KMFA is willing to partner with students who are interested in an internship to earn school credit. Intern hours will be set upon hire, but may range from 10 to 25 hours a week (during business hours). Internships generally start at the beginning of a school semester.

Job Description:

  • Assist with activities of classical music public radio development department
  • Assist with membership service duties, including organizing and distributing thank you gifts and letters and acquiring goods for fundraisers
  • Assist with phone, email and mail contact with members, volunteers and potential donors
  • Assist with the development and acquisition of member benefit promotional materials
  • Learn to work effectively with staff, as well as donors, to achieve financial and customer service objectives of non-profit, listener supported station
  • Other tasks as special skills and talents may allow

Job Requirements:

The most critical traits for the KMFA intern are reliability, integrity, ability to take initiative and attention to detail. Computer literacy, excellent communication and writing skills, interest in non-profit management and the medium of radio, involvement and interest in serving the KMFA membership community, demonstrated ability to work well with others, are all strong advantages.
