Primary responsibilities include drafting and circulating press releases promoting the activities of the Humanities Texas (HTx) grants, exhibitions, and education programs and communicating with press outlets about upcoming HTx-sponsored programs. The position will also include some general administrative responsibilities.
The internship offers extensive professional writing experience; exposure in a number of Texas media markets; and the opportunity to learn about the day-to-day operations of an active nonprofit educational organization serving a diverse, statewide audience.
Hours: 20–30 per week, depending on availability.
Compensation: The internship is unpaid; course credit potentially available through individual's academic program.
