Public Relations Summer Internship with MPower Labs
MPOWER Labs is a global research and development incubator that generates technology and product innovations to provide new and needed services for the underserved. MPOWER Labs' primary focus is in the financial services industry, from which approximately 2 billion individuals around the world are excluded or underserved. MPOWER Labs is headquartered in Austin, Texas and has offices in Mexico City, Mexico, Vienna, Austria and Dublin, Ireland.
Dates: June 1st – August 7th located in Austin, TX
Hours: Less than 30 per week, flexible start/end times
Wages commensurate with experience
Main job responsibilities:
- Supporting research projects
- Supporting external communication and media relations projects
- Writing press releases and press materials
- Creating/maintaining media lists and calendars
- Coordinating and preparing submissions
- Deliverable: consolidated calendar of PR opportunities, by quarter, for Q409 – Q310
Requirements: College junior or above; ability to analyze and present secondary research; outstanding written and oral skills; organized, critical thinker; ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative environment; proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
