Summer 2009 Internship:
The Memorial Hermann Healthcare System Public Relations Team is looking for a talented and energetic media/communications intern to assist in various media, public relations, web management, social media and other multimedia projects. This is a nonpaid internship, only serious candidates need apply. Interns will be given school credit in exchange for their time during their internship with Memorial Hermann. Learning opportunities will include: advancing Memorial Hermann’s public relations efforts in social media, writing press releases, updating online content and assisting PR team with media events and media escorts in our Memorial Hermann facilities.

Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate should be a good writer; an avid follower of current events, news media and be familiar with social networking sites and blogs, such as Twitter, SecondLife and Facebook. Knowledge of the healthcare industry is preferred, but not required. Intern candidates must also be enrolled as students at an accredited university or college.
