Multimedia News Internship Program, RCR Wireless News , An Arden Media Company, LLC

WHAT IS IT?

A highly selective, 12-week, individually tailored training program for students who are aspiring online, video, graphics and multimedia journalists. Experience reporting technology news, creating video storylines, editing and producing multimedia content for distribution online a plus.

AM I ELIGIBLE?

The internship is open to full-time juniors, seniors (including fall 2009 graduates) and graduate students at U.S. colleges and universities.

HOW MANY PEOPLE ARE IN THE PROGRAM?

As many as 5 interns are selected.

WHAT ARE THE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE PROGRAM?

You get to work in an entrepreneurial, fast paced environment re-launching and repositioning a 28 year-old, industry leading wireless industry news magazine (www.rcrwireless.com), which the publishers acquired from Crain Communications in May of 2009 and is scheduled for relaunch on 9/1.

This is an opportunity to participate, first hand in building and operating a next generation on-line media company focused on wireless and mobile technology. Current customers include IBM, Ericsson, AT&T, Verizon, Cablevision, General Dynamics, Time Warner Cable, and other industry leading companies.

Interns will work with content from several formats – text, photos, audio, video and graphics – and will be able to develop multimedia scripts, produce product and publishcontent using multimedia storytelling techniques.

Course credits may be available. And you get to cover breaking news that may be featured in many media outlets.
