Golfsmith is the world's largest specialty golf retailer. Based in Austin, Texas, Golfsmith supports more than 75 stores across the U.S., and also markets top-brand golf and tennis merchandise directly to consumers of all ages and skill levels. Our online store - golfsmith.com - boasts specialty golf retail sites on the web. Golfsmith also produces merchandising and training material for golf clubmaking businesses. We also design, test and market golf clubs, clubhead components, shafts, grips and club assembly tools under our proprietary brands: Lynx, Zevo, Snake Eyes, Killer Bee and MacGregor. No other golf retailer designs and markets custom-fit golf clubs and components.

As a Creative Department intern, you will be an integral part of the team. We are looking for highly talented, bright and enthusiastic individuals to join us. All applications will be carefully considered. And we will make every effort to work around your class schedule and availability.
Duties
- Participate in creative conception for retail and advertising campaigns
- Write copy for catalogs, direct mail, retail ads and in-store projects
- Proofread and copyedit at all phases of production
- Assist the Copy Manager with assigned projects on an as-needed basis
- Assist the Staff Copywriter with assigned projects on an as-needed basis
Skills/Qualifications
- Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Positive attitude and a passion for working across multiple disciplines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under very tight deadlines
- Ability to work across multiple groups and maintain good communications
- Good sense of retail trends and shopper buying patterns
- Working knowledge of MS Word and Adobe InDesign
- Ability to have fun and work as a team
