Overview: The communications assistant (intern) will be working for two companies, both owned by Renee Trudeau:
Career Strategists (www.careerstrategists.net) --a national career planning, coaching
and marketing firm dedicated to helping people successfully navigate their career path.
Trudeau, the firm's owner, was a nominee for the national Association for Women In Communications Headliner Award. She was also a finalist in the Austin Business Journal's Profiles in Power Awards, is a regular Austin Woman life balance columnist and was awarded the Mentor Award from the Association for Women In Communications. She is on the advisory board for Women in Communications, Austin. Trudeau has been featured extensively in national media, too. PR/communications, event and project work for Renee Trudeau & Associate, a national work/life balance training firm
(www.reneetrudeau.com).

Internship Duties

Responsibilities: Heavy project and marketing campaign coordination, some office administration and various communications support tasks. Will assist in coordinating events and researching and marketing projects. Other communications responsibilities to be added based on the intern's knowledge and desire to learn.

Skills Required
Requirements: Highly self-motivated, mature, organized, detail-oriented Junior or Senior
pursuing a degree in Journalism, English, Public Relations or Communications. Or a professional transitioning into the communications field. Responsible, mature, professional demeanor. Able to take initiative and work independently. Desire to learn. Good computer skills. Previous internship and/or office experience required. Preference given to interns who can continue through Spring 2011 (most of our interns end up wanting to work two semesters).
