Description
Energy Xtreme is an electric power solutions company based in Austin, TX. Established in 2005, with headquarters in Austin, with sales offices in CA and MA. Energy Xtreme has a customer base that includes New York Department of Transportation, Austin Public Works Department, Dallas Police Department, Las Vegas Metro Police Department and Centerpoint Energy among others.
Energy Xtreme's landmark solution, The Independence PackageTM, is a group of complete power management systems, which provide a standard power solution for an entire fleets' power needs. The Independence Package line of products provide remote electric power with idle reduction capability, which enable companies and departments to cut costs, minimize dependence on foreign oil, and reduce emissions.
Internship Duties
Web Development Internship:
- Help marketing team to plan and conceptualize a new website for EX within the next 1.5 months, then begin the design in WordPress. At the 2.5 month mark, I expect to have a fully functional demo site ready for testing. At this point, the developer will probably become the ‘Webmaster’.
Events / Social Media Marketing Coordinator:
- Coordinate publicity, logistics, banners/graphics and details for trade shows (large and small)
- Assist/post timely and pertinent social media updates upon release, re-imagine our larger articles such as white papers, e-books, etc.
Video/ Webinar Production Intern:
- Create pertinent videos of our products which clearly demonstrate their functionality and market-leading technology. Produce creative and educational videos to connect with our customers on more of a personal basis - to deepen the relationship beyond a sales company and position Energy Xtreme as more of an educational resource.
- Convey the points made in videos to a webinar format – still educating the customer base, but making the webinar engaging and flow in a natural sequence.
Direct Marketing/ Marketing to Focused Groups/ Research Internship:
- Use 60% of time (12 hrs/ week) to develop a schedule/process along with Director of Marketing to cold-call and/or e-mail potential customers using a script
- Use 40% of time (8 hrs/week) to Research specific groups and develop methods of connecting with those target markets, i.e. help develop brochures specifically written for those groups, learn what aspects of our products they need most, what government funding could be used for our products.
International Marketing Internship:
- Research market possibilities and develop a marketing strategy to introduce Energy Xtreme products to foreign markets.
