Golfsmith International, Inc. is a multi-channel retailer of golf and tennis equipment, merchandise and training curriculum for consumers and golf club making businesses. Austin-based Golfsmith currently supports several retail superstores throughout the United States, distributes the Golfsmith clubmaker and consumer catalogs and runs an online store at www.golfsmith.com. Internship Duties

• Organize and establish a system for archiving visual projects and pieces
• Convert store floor plans to an electronic, editable version
• New store fixturing and merchandising standards and guidelines reference guide
• Gather information to assist Communication Manager on monthly store communication
• Assist Project Manager in creating a manual of fixture options and pieces in stores
• Work with the Graphics Coordinator to develop promotional pieces all supporting the brand strategy
• Identify the current options of store reordering, and create one, simple option for stores to utilize
• Keep an up-to-date list of items purchased and sent to new stores
• Layout the options, and items needed to support the new visual merchandising page on the company’s intranet

Skills Required

• Rising Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited college or university program
• High energy, initiative and sense of urgency
• Successful yet calm in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail with strong organizational skills
• Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Understanding of Computer Programs such as Oracle, Photoshop, InDesign, Canvas, Word and Excel
• Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. (moving and assembling of fixtures)
• Previous retail experience advantageous, however not necessary
