Internship Type
General Advertising

Lawrence Page, Attorney

Description

I have a law firm practicing family law and commercial litigation that I am resuming after my wife and I spent the past year out of state.

I need to develop a new logo for my firm in addition to develop an advertising campaign to attract new clients from different target demographics: for family law, wealthy individuals going through divorces, custody battles, or other family law matters; and for commercial litigation, companies in need of an attorney to handle their commercial disputes.

Legal advertising is currently dominated by awful advertisements targeting rather unsophisticated clients for high-volume law practices. Part of the problem is the restrictions the State Bar places on legal advertising, but those restrictions say nothing about ensuring the advertisements must be awful or appeal to the lowest common denominator with little or no sense of humor. We want to shift that focus and have our campaign stand out as aimed toward a higher demographic.

The advertising campaign must also comply with the State Bar's rules on advertising, including securing approval for the campaign. Doing so would provide an intern with tremendous real-world experience tailoring an effective advertising campaign within such restrictions.
