Description

LazyZach.com is a resource center for college students. In the beta stage, LazyZach helps college students find internships and entry level jobs – over 20,000 new ones are added daily (specifically meant for internship seeking and soon to be graduating college students). This is more than fifty of the biggest university career centers put together can boast of! We are, quite possibly, the largest dedicated source for internships and entry level jobs in the country.

Over the course of the next few months, LazyZach will grow rapidly to give you powerful tools at your disposal to save you valuable time and money while you try and navigate your way through college. We are a FREE service.

Internship Duties

The interns will be responsible for the following during the 14-week LazyZach Public Relations Internship
1. Developing and cultivating media relationships and media management with 500 University newspapers
2. Understanding the relevant online media landscape to identify the influential bloggers and website critics.
3. Writing at least 3 press releases and sending it out to the above database
i. One for the launch of LazyZach.com
ii. Second for the launch of additional modules on LazyZach.com
iii. Third for the launch of FirstJobs.com, a subscription service for campus career centers
4. The interns will also be responsible for setting up interviews by creating relevant story pegs according to each journalist/blogger/media profile
5. Using networks like Twitter, Facebook and other social media outlets to keep the communication airwaves open between LazyZach and all relevant stake holders (users, media, clients)

The internship starts on the 7th of February, 2011 and ends on the 13th of May.

 

Skills Required

1. Top notch communication skills
2. Majoring in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or Journalism
3. Hard working, Creative & Detail Oriented
4. Applicants should also have strong writing skills, as well as a solid understanding of social media
