General Public Relations

Bradford Public Relations is a small, boutique public relations agency in Dallas that works with national consumer brands. The agency does both traditional media relations and also specializes in promotional events for consumer brands throughout Texas. Bradford Public Relations was founded by Elizabeth Bradford, a former award-winning TV reporter and UT alum. The agency is small but growing and partners with other larger agencies throughout the country. We are located in Preston Center in Dallas, and we offer a fun, vibrant work environment for a summer intern.

Duties

• Provide account support to all client activities
• Conduct research to secure vendors for client events
• Research, update and maintain media lists
• Conduct outreach to select media representatives and other guests to client events
• Work on reports, spreadsheets, and assembling client press coverage
• Help with social media research, outreach and reporting
• Provide on-site support at special events
• Perform basic office duties such as sending faxes and assisting with client invoicing

What we are seeking for our summer internship:
• A reliable student going into their senior year, who is studying public relations or communications and has some work experience
• Must have taken some basic PR classes and understands the fundamentals of this profession
• Should possess some knowledge of Texas media markets
• An enthusiastic organizer, a good writer, and a hard worker

What we offer:
Our interns are active members of our account teams and are integrated into all client events and activities. This high level of involvement allows a communication student to see how a PR agency works on a day-to-day basis. Interns often attend client meetings and events and gain valuable hands-on experience that makes them better prepared for working full-time in the field of public relations upon graduation.
