Skills Required
Interns should be adept at working within social media services. Interns must be self-reliant, self-motivated and able to meet deadlines. Some working knowledge of Google Analytics or other website traffic monitoring software would be helpful but not required. As some of the intern duties may involved writing and/or editing website or press materials, good writing skills are essential.

Can and Will Music Foundation is a non-profit Texas corporation which is involved in developing a new significant and ongoing Texas music project. The Foundation recommends that all applicants have a strong interest in Texas music.
Duties
Interns may be involved in any of the following areas: (1) researching and writing informational website content; (2) assisting in developing and operating social media sites on behalf of the project; (3) assisting in promoting and publicizing events and activities; (4) assisting in fundraising activities; (5) assisting with the development of website music programming; (6) assisting in creating special project budgets; (7) assisting with the conception, development and implementation of special projects; and/or (8) general administrative and office assistance.Interns should be available for a minimum of 10 hours per week and may be required to be available for a greater number of hours in certain circumstances, provided that if the student's department specifies minimum or maximum hours for internships, the Foundation will comply with those requirements. Further, the specific daily/weekly schedule can be flexible.
