Newly established woman-owned communications firm, specializing in public relations and public affairs, seeks an energetic, self-starting Intern seeking academic credit. Intern should be college junior or senior majoring in public relations or a related field.One of the two firm principals previously held the senior management position of the Austin office of the country's largest and oldest public relations firm, Burson-Marsteller. The principals are familiar with the U.T. College of Communications' academic credit requirements and have had excellent experience with previous University of Texas interns.Client industries include energy, healthcare, government, technology and non-profit.

Duties:

Responsibilities include:
Conduct client research
Tracking and clipping news coverage; creating media lists
Assist in preparation of content for brochures, websites, press kits, information packets presentations and advertisements
Develop collateral material (fact sheets, press releases, pitches, op-eds)
Review and edit materials for external audiences
Various administrative duties
