Skills Required
Internship opportunities are typically given to two to four students per semester. Most interns are upper-level students majoring in public relations or related fields and all are included in challenging assignments and client work. Ideal candidates have had several public relations classes, have strong writing skills, are familiar with the Associated Press (AP) writing style and are comfortable with creating and editing lists in Microsoft Excel.
Include in Application
Candidates must complete an application (link below) and provide a resume, cover letter and professional letter of recommendation from a previous employer or internship supervisor. If a professional letter is not available, a letter of recommendation from a public relations professor will suffice.
