Kristy Ozmun Public Relations is a Texas-grown public relations firm dedicated to serving clients locally, across the state and on the national level. Based in Austin, Texas since its inception a decade ago, the firm has provided public relations services for a wide array of clients. The firm's founder, Kristy Ozmun, formerly served as Director of Public Affairs for the HEB Grocery Company. Since her tenure with the highly regarded retailer, she has often worked on behalf of retail companies and other consumer-driven businesses, as well as technology and services clients. In addition, she serves as a volunteer board member and public relations advisor for a number of charitable organizations. At KOPR, our goal is to provide topnotch public relations services for our clients in a friendly, collaborative atmosphere.

Internship Duties

• Duties to Perform:
  Perform client research
  Assist with media contacts
  Writing for various media outlets
  Constructing media lists
  Assembling press kits
  Compiling media summaries
  All other duties assigned

Skills Required

• Qualified Candidates Should Possess the Following:
  Junior or higher-level student in a bachelor's degree program majoring in communications, public relations, journalism or a related discipline.
  Strong writing skills
  Strong verbal skills
  Familiarity with press release writing (AP Style)
