At LIVESTRONG, we fight for the more than 28 million people around the world living with cancer today. There can be-and should be-life after cancer for more people. That's why we kick in at the moment of diagnosis, giving people the resources and support they need to fight cancer head-on. Internship Duties

Communications and External Affairs interns will assist with projects involving constituent communications, writing and distributing press releases, media relations surrounding special events, compiling press kits, and various other public relations tasks

Skills Required

• --Applicants should have an interest in learning about the workings of a non-profit organization.
  --Applicants must be available to work 10-20 hours per week, Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:30am - 5:30pm, at the LIVESTRONG office in Austin, Texas.
  --Applicants must be able to provide their own housing and transportation.
  --Applicants should have strong verbal and written communication skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, as well as competency with the Internet and e-mail.
  --Undergraduate and graduate level students are encouraged to apply. Recent graduates are also eligible.
