Luminaria Media and Public Relations is an Austin-based PR firm that provides media relations, social media, writing, event planning, strategic planning and crisis communications for a number of non-profit organizations, authors and entrepreneurs. Our current client roster includes Girlstart, the National Hispanic Institute, the Collaborative Law Institute of Texas and Line Dash Media. Our office is located just east of downtown at 501 N. IH-35.
Responsibilities:
The internship will involve a number of duties, including press release writing, distribution and follow-up; media list building and assessment; community calendar research and event item placement; event planning; additional account coordinator-level work as needed.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have media relations, social media and event planning experience and will have the ability to write and research online. Graphic design ability is a plus. Due to the mix of on-site and off-site work, access to a laptop computer and cell phone will be required.
