MediaScience is a state of the art research facility located in North Austin, which specializes in media research (including advertising testing, program testing, mobile platform testing, etc.). The company is known in the industry as the Disney Media & Advertising Lab and conducts groundbreaking industry research using a variety of research tools such as biometrics, eye tracking, reaction time testing, and more.

Duties

Each year, we take on one to two Public Relations Interns to work with our public research panel (known as  The Media Panel ). During the internship, the students develop thorough recruitment campaigns, present them to the staff, implement them, and follow up at the end of the internship with results from their campaign (also presented to the staff). It is a wonderful learning experience for our interns, as they gain valuable industry experience and come away with an amazing case study and a stellar addition to their resumes. Specific duties may include: PR campaign development, design of promotional materials, planning and carrying out off-site recruitment events, writing press releases, facilitating community relations, working directly with research panel members, etc.
