Texas Venture Labs at The University of Texas at Austin is a campus-wide initiative to accelerate the rate of start-ups on its campus, offering entrepreneurs an accelerated route in bringing their innovations to market.

 

Venture Labs provides direct links to the entrepreneurial, business, technology and legal resources available both on the campus and in the Texas entrepreneurial eco-system. Venture Labs enables students, faculty and researchers to have full access to these resources, while providing the mentoring, team-building, market and business plan validation, technology commercialization and domain knowledge needed to start and grow innovative ventures. Internship Duties

Texas Venture Labs needs an educated and motivated student familiar with Public Relations and Marketing to head our communications. The Intern will generally be responsible for growing our presence on campus and in the Austin business community and coordinating our overall branding and messaging. More specifically, the Intern will be in charge of growing and updating our social media presence, develop creative ways to generate and distribute content relevant to our followers, and maintaining our website, blog, and marketing materials.

 

Overall, this will be a great experience for a student interesting in PR/Marketing for a business organization/start-up. This will also allow you to make lots of connections in the business community in Austin and with fellow students from different colleges across campus.

 

Skills Required

Graduate Students only (Required)

Passion for PR, content management, and raising interest for an organization (Required)

Social media, Content distribution, Journalism, Website maintenance, Entrepreneurship, Business (Preferred)
