Here is your chance to learn the ins and outs of the new social internet, including blogs, viral, Twitter, Facebook, and word of mouth marketing. We work with the biggest brands and help them learn how to use these new tools. This is a rare opportunity for you to make contacts and gain valuable real world experience.

So what should you expect? From start to finish, you'll be completely responsible for the projects you undertake. You'll have significant independence and responsibility. You'll have solid, documented accomplishments to add to your resume. We don't keep our interns in the back room -- you'll work with real clients and make high-level connections that will directly help your career.

There will be a lot of grunt work, and data-entry-type stuff. But you'll also gain real access to truly meaningful experiences. When you complete the internship, you'll be a bona fide word of mouth marketing supergenius.

We need people who love this stuff. Candidates must be smart and dedicated and absolutely must be the type of people who know how to look at a problem, determine exactly what needs to be done, and then make it happen. We need great people with skills in writing, sales, marketing, PR, event planning, and more.

Internship Duties

• Researching how big brands are using social media
• Writing of our weekly blog posts and newsletters for socialmedia.org
• Reaching out to local press and partners to promote our bi-monthly events

Skills Required

• Smart, dedicated, innovative, creative, organized, and Web-literate
• A go-getter who can think on their feet and out of the box
• A doer who isn't scared of the scutwork that comes with the cool stuff
• Strong writing and communications skills, fluent in MS Office
• We do not need any web designers or IT people.
