The Austin Film Festival showcases independent films and emerging filmmakers. It's purpose is to further develop the film culture in and around Austin. It provides the community events and services based around filmmaking and raises awareness of and participation in the art. The festival's conference features panels and workshops educating people about the dynamics and logistics of the film industry.
