You must be currently enrolled in or have previously taken ADV345J Introduction to Media Planning. Most students apply during the same semester that they take ADV345J. A letter grade of "B" or above is required for eligibility.

How to Apply

So, you think you might want to become the next media guru to complete the Texas Media program? Please turn in the completed application with your resume between Monday, October 23 through Wednesday, October 26 by 2:00 to CMA 7.142 (the main advertising office). Results will be confidentially emailed by the end of the week to all applicants so that student registration for Spring 2007 can take place the following week of October 30.

You're in! Now what?

Once accepted to the TexasMedia program, students are required to complete three upper-division media courses. All three of these courses qualify as required upper-division advertising electives, making completion of the program possible without adding to your standard Advertising BS course load.

What specific courses are required to complete TexasMedia? Your first semester in the program you should complete ADV377 Advanced Media Strategies. Then, you get to pick two additional media courses that fit your particular interests to be completed in any order you choose.
