AAF Awards Texas Advertising Student Stickell Internship
The AAF Stickell Student Internship Program announced that Texas Advertising's senior Nicole Juneau received the 2009 award. This is a highly competitive and selective scholarship and internship program. As part of the award, Nicole will be working with MediaVest in New York this summer.
The AAF Stickell Student Internship Program was established in 1989 in honor of Vance L. Stickell, former executive vice president, marketing, for the Los Angeles Times and a member of the Advertising Hall of Fame. The program commemorates Mr. Stickell's contributions to the industry, his high business standards and his dedication to advancing the interests of advertising.
The program is intended to raise the awareness and understanding of advertising processes and business ethics among future advertising professionals. In 2009, twenty outstanding students were selected for a 10-week internship at U.S. media organizations, advertising agencies, and client and supplier companies. The interns will receive a stipend of $4,000 for the 10-week internship plus either a $1,500 scholarship or assistance with housing to help defray their living expenses.
