Advertising Graduate Council Elects New Officers

The votes are in and the new 2006 Advertising Graduate Council officers have been determined. The newly elected president of AGC is Melissa Barnes and Amanda Latifi will be the Council's new Vice-President. Other officers include Anna Martin as Treasurer, Renata Escovar will head Industry Relations, Patrick Wagner as Secretary, Social Chair is Christine "Chris" Leseman, Iva Zugic will be in charge of Community Service, Ben Wright is the new Creative Director and Colin Lapin and Adrian Stuart are the new Co-Athletic Directors.

The Advertising Graduate Council is the official student group for graduate students in the department. The AGC is a student-run organization that is designed to supplement the educational experiences of graduate school by providing opportunities for professional enrichment and social interaction. In the last two years, the AGC has arranged agency tours to New York, Chicago and San Francisco. AGC providesl guest speakers, updated internship/job listings, and participates in a shadow day with some of the major advertising agencies in the Austin area. Everyone is welcome to join in and participate.
