Keith L. Reinhard to speak at Branding Conference at UT

Keith Reinhard will be speaking at the Center for Brand Research conference: Branding & ReBranding in the Twenty-First Century: A Transdisciplinary Approach. The conference will be held from May 7-9 at the Thompson Conference Center & LBJ Conference Auditorium at the University of Texas in Austin.

Advertising Age called Keith Reinhard the advertising industry's "soft-spoken visionary" and in 1999 named him among the top 100 industry influentials in advertising history. Reinhard's background is on the creative side of the advertising business. In 1986, he played an integral role in the advertising industry's first and only three-way merger, creating Omnicom, the world's largest advertising and marketing services holding company. Omnicom operates BBDO Worldwide, TBWA, and other top advertising, media, and marketing agencies.

Reinhard believes that agencies cannot work too hard at understanding their clients' businesses. He demonstrated this through his work for McDonald's, creating their anthem, "You Deserve a Break Today." This campaign helped McDonald's to soar, along with Reinhard's career. Reinhard later lost and regained his position as head of DDB Needham Worldwide and the McDonald's account.
