Meet Luisa: The New Graduate Assistant Advisor

Luisa Medrano graduated from UT back in 2007 from the School of Communication with a degree in Corporate Communication. After graduating, she worked for a year in non profit administration management and event management. Next, she worked with the Texas MBA program in Houston and Dallas, where she traveled on a daily basis for three years straight. Then, she found her current job with the University of Texas Advertising department. She helps Dr. Wilcox with graduate advising, since he also teaches and is not available to students full time.

Originally from Robstown, TX, she’s so glad to be back in Austin and rediscover the city. Luisa loves trying new restaurants and enjoying her free time now that she’s back in Austin.

We’re so glad to have her here back in the communication school! She’s here for all masters and doctoral students in CMA 7.242 anytime you need advising help! Luisa’s happy to be here and meet the students that are about to come through next year, so if you get a chance, go meet her!
