Q: Are you excited for the Red River Rivalry?
I'm incredibly excited for the Red River Rivalry. I think this year will be a challenge since our team and offense are somewhat rebuilding, but I think we're going to rise to the occasion. It's a big event for my family since we're all over the place (Arkansas and Texas) and we all get to come together, enjoy the fair, and more importantly, enjoy the game together.
Q: What are your plans for Texas OU weekend??
I'm currently an intern for the Austin Film Festival, specifically the conference part of the festival, which takes place in late October. This means that [I'll have to] I fly into Dallas late Friday night and leave on the first flight back to Austin Sunday morning, really only giving me time to have fun in Dallas Friday night and Saturday at the fair and game. So, basically, beyond a nice dinner and a day full of the fair and football, that's about it!
Q: What kinds of deep-fried treats do you plan on eating at the State Fair of Texas?
Hmmm.. Well, I've only been to the fair once. My boyfriend has never been to the OU game or fair, so I think we'll be trying some more deep fried treats this year. Last year I had fried snickers, which was, eh, OK. I know they had a ton more options. I'm hoping to find the fried Coca Cola if that's still a thing.
Q: What is the most exciting thing about this weekend?
Probably the most exciting thing about this weekend is getting to share it with my Dad, who lives in Arkansas, little brother, who lives in San Marcos, and boyfriend, who has been traveling for work a lot recently. I get to spend time with the ones I love and attend a Longhorn football game...Perfect! Hook 'Em!!
