What brought you to The University of Texas at Austin?
My college counselor told me I had an outside shot at getting in since I am from out-of-state. I've always been the type of guy that when you tell me I can't do something, I am going to do it.
Tell me about your promotion and production company, ScoreMore Productions.
In September 2008, I was approached by someone with a lot of experience in concert promotion and production. He asked me if I wanted to take over the job. Since then I have worked on 29 shows and with some of the biggest record labels in the country.
How do you balance working full-time with being a student?
I talk with my professors and teaching assistants and get on a first name basis. This is a way for me to make a big community much smaller.
How has the College of Communication helped prepare you and your business?
I learn something new in my classes that I can apply every day. From my interviewing principles and practices class, to my class that examines lying and deception, I really am constantly learning.
