Texas Advertising held its annual new graduate student welcoming party on Monday
Texas Advertising held its annual new graduate student welcoming party on Monday, August 18th at the Zilker Clubhouse. At the orientation held earlier in the day, new students were able to meet some of the advertising faculty members as well as their fellow new graduate students. At the welcoming party, students met some of the current advertising graduate students as well as enjoyed Texas BBQ and refreshments provided by the graduate program. The Advertising Graduate Council planned a "Week-o-fun" with events for the new students ranging from river tubing to line dancing at the Broken Spoke.
This year's advertising graduate students come from the US and all over the world. International students have joined the program from countries such as Puerto Rico, Brazil, China, Croatia, Cypress, Japan, India, Korea, Mexico, Taiwan, and Ukraine. Students from the US represent 17 states from Alabama to Kansas to Maine to Wisconsin. Sixty-nine percent of the enrolled students are from the US.
The average incoming class GPA is 3.51 with an average GRE score of 1107.
