Texas Advertising Welcomes New Graduate Students 2007
Texas Advertising held its annual new graduate student welcoming party on Monday, August 20th at Laguna Gloria on Lake Austin. At the orientation held earlier in the day, new students were able to meet some of the advertising faculty members as well as their fellow new graduate students. At the welcoming party, students met some of the current advertising graduate students as well as enjoy Texas BBQ and refreshments provided by the department.
This year's advertising graduate students come from the US and all over the world. International students have joined the program from countries such as Argentina, China, Korea, Mexico, Pakistan, Puerto Rico, and Taiwan. Students from the US represent 26 states from Alabama to Kentucky to Nebraska to Virginia. Seven new students will study in the PHD program while about 100 will study in the MA program. The average incoming class GPA is 3.6 with an average GRE score of 1150. This year students in the Graduate Program will receive over $100,000 of fellowship and scholarship support. Hook 'em Horns!
