Texas Creative Graduate Student receives ADDY Awards
Celeste McKeon, who is graduating this coming May with her Masters in Advertising, recently received two ADDY awards for her work in the Texas Creative program. She received her BBA in Marketing from the University of Mississippi in 2008 with a minor in art, and worked shortly as a graphic designer in Virginia Beach, VA before deciding to attend The University of Texas in 2009 to receive her Masters in advertising.

Celeste, with the help of Michael Eng, Meaghan Golden and Valerie Nguyen, entered the 2010 Student ADDY awards competition and received ADDYs for her work on a Conair Razor campaign and a Toro Leaf Blower campaign. Celeste worked with copy writer, Meaghan Golden, for the Conair campaign, which won an ADDY in the non-traditional category. The Toro campaign was created by two art directors, Celeste and Michael Eng, and copy writer, Valerie Nguyen. The Toro campaign also won an ADDY in the non-traditional category. They created these ad campaigns while in the P3 class, and she is now in P4. Celeste plans on entering the contest again next fall, hopefully while working with an agency.
She currently owns a graphic design company-PipeDream Designs, and does that on the side while attending UT. After graduation this May, Celeste plans to stay in Austin and pursue the creative and artistic side of the advertising and public relations industry. The ADDY awards are the world's largest advertising competition, and are for professional entries. The Student ADDY awards Competition is just for college students, and their work is entered locally, and can then move up regionally and finally nationally.
