Texas Creative Student awarded prestigious scholarships to study abroad.

The Center for Global Education Opportunities (C-GEO) and the Austin Chapter of the Association for Women in Communications (AWC) awarded Ms. Sheetal Patel scholarships this Fall Semester to study abroad in Australia at the University of Technology in Sydney. The scholarships were awarded based on merit and are highly competitive with only a select number of applicants receiving financial support.
At UT, Sheetal is an undergraduate Advertising major in the Texas Creative program where she is studying to become an Art Director. Sheetal states, "The opportunity to study abroad intrigues me because I feel it will present a unique perspective on advertising. I also know the international experience will benefit my long-term aspirations of starting my own agency one day."
"Sheetal brings a great deal of enthusiasm and energy that is infectious. Her motivation and desire to succeed propels all of her work and we are excited that she will be representing the program globally," states Professor Deborah Morrison, Director of the Texas Creative Program.
Sheetal has also been admitted to the Select Admission Graduate Program. The Select Admission Graduate Program encourages undergraduate students with top academic records to continue at the university for a graduate degree. The program allows undergraduate student to take graduate classes while finishing their undergraduate degree.
