Stan Richards launched his agency in 1954 - putting his garage to new use. Twenty-one years later, in 1975, The Richards Group was incorporated. Since then Mr. Richards has undertaken the task of growing his agency into a full service brand-building machine. The Richards Group has created - and continues to create - award winning and effective campaigns for Fruit Of The Loom, Chick-fil-A, Home Depot, The Patron Spirits Company, The Salvation Army, Motel 6 and many others.
Stan Richards has been widely recognized for his creative achievements including a Reddick Award in 1996 for leadership in communication. In 1999 he was elected to the Art Directors Hall of Fame along with the likes of Norman Rockwell and Walt Disney. He and his agency are also distinguished today as being perhaps the largest independent agency in the country having resisted several attractive offers from global communication enterprises and remaining committed to his vision of compelling design, surprising strategy and memorable execution.
