Texas Creative is more than a campus institution. Texas Creative alumni and friends can be found everywhere, in agencies across the globe, and in creative endeavors in many industries. And Texas Creative just wouldn’t be the same without the input from our industry friends worldwide, who assist our students through mentorships from afar, and visits to campus to speak and review student work.
We welcome visits by industry professionals during our end-of-the-semester reviews in December and May, or in the classroom at any other time during the semester.
Recent reviews have featured visitors from Avenue A/Razorfish, BBH, Carmichael Lynch, Chiat/Day, Cramer Krasselt, CP+B, DDB, Fallon, FKM, GSD+M, JWT, Leo Burnett, McKee Wallwork Cleveland, Publicis, The Richards Group, TBD, TracyLocke, t:m, and many more.
To schedule a visit, please contact Sean Thompson through the link on the right.
The Ad Pal program pairs students at the Advanced Portfolio level with art directors, copywriters and creative directors who are currently working at top agencies across the country. Each student is matched with a mentor, who work with the student to help develop their portfolio during their final semester before heading out to find an agency position. Mentors critique student work, offer job-hunting and portfolio development advice, and answer questions about agency life. Since the Ad Pal mentors hail from all across the country, students correspond with them by email, telephone, and webcam.
Presented by the Department of Advertising, the Agency Pipeline series brings students and faculty together with industry giants. Agency Pipeline speakers are invited to spend a day or two on campus, offering wisdom and insight in the form of large-scale lectures, small roundtable forums, and critiques. Recent speakers have included John Colasanti (President, Carmichael Lynch), Mick McCabe (Head of Planning, Leo Burnett), and Lisa Bennett (Chief Creative Officer, DDB San Francisco), and Stan Richards (Founder, The Richards Group). Speakers are scheduled throughout the semester.
