Tracy Arrington was a member of the inaugural TexasMedia cohort, graduating from the program in 1997. She was thrilled to return to UT as a Lecturer in the Stan Richards School of Advertising & Public Relations in the spring of 2014.
Tracy's career in media has focused on strategic development, planning and investments, emphasizing a dynamic approach to communication for many of the world's leading brands. Her expertise spans all media types and she is passionate about talent development - the key to innovation as diverse forms of media converge.
Tracy currently serves as director of media for Blackboard Co., a full-service advertising and content agency based in Austin, TX. Prior to joining Blackboard Co., she spent 12 years in media at GSD&M Advertising and another five years as vice president and director of strategy and development at The Davis Group. Her client list is extensive and has included industry leaders in virtually every category, including AT&T, Bank of America, BMW, Dell, DreamWorks, MasterCard, New Mexico's Department of Tourism, Nike, Taco Bell, the Texas Lottery and Wal-Mart.
Tracy is the mother of twins Ryan and Calen, an avid runner, and serves as the marketing advisor for multiple non-profit organizations.
