Yunsha Pu is a Ph.D. student in Advertising at the University of Texas at Austin, mainly focusing on internet risks, including privacy issues and the regulation of false information.

She currently works on consumers’ privacy perceptions and privacy management in the context of generative AI. Her research aims to understand the psychological mechanisms that shape individuals’ decision making across different digital contexts.

She also studies online scam susceptibility and prevention. Her work examines how communication strategies, individual characteristics, and habitual behaviors influence the likelihood of victimization. In addition, she seeks to identify effective interventions that can help individuals better recognize and resist scam attempts.

She is also committed to addressing issues of social inequality. Her prior research has explored the challenges faced by vulnerable populations, including older adults, migrant workers, and individuals living with depression.
