Mr. Steve Rossmann began his entertainment career at Twentieth Century Fox working in National Promotions and Film Partnerships in 1998. While at Fox, Mr Rossmann worked on hit films such as Cast Away, Mulan Rouge, X-Men, Planet of the Apes, Dare Devil and many others developing and executing co-promotional partnerships with fortune 500 brands by leveraging their marketing and media to support the studios-film marketing efforts, as well as helping many brands launch new and innovative consumers products domestically and globally. In 2001, Mr. Rossmann took an opportunity at the Endeavor Talent Agency to expand his experience in film marketing by working directly with producers, writers, directors and actors, in television, film and digital. As a Marketing Agent he was responsible for launching the Maserati Spyder, leveraging A-list celebrities to participate in American Expresses, “My Life My Card” advertising campaign, launching Fox Broadcasting’s first New Year’s Eve special, America’s Party, and developing entertainment led campaigns for Southwest Airlines.
In 2004, Mr. Rossmann worked as a project manager in Chicago, IL, for an integrated marketing agency, Wirestone, launching the Motorola Razor and developed online promotional campaigns for Jim Beam Brands. With the innovation of mobile technology and his experience with Motorola, the Endeavor Talent Agency brought him back to Los Angeles as an Agent in Gaming and Digital Strategy, negotiating deals with talent on games; Spider Man and God of War. He joined Sony Pictures Digital Entertainment in 2005 where he served as Senior Manager in Mobile Marketing and Promotions launching films Spider Man 3 and Drumline. Then in 2006, he joined the Gersh Talent Agency, as Managing Director Branded Entertainment and Digital Strategy for the various divisions of the agency and its A-List talent clientele.
From 2008-2016 Mr Rossmann was Manager and Head of Branded Entertainment at RPA Advertising where he was responsible for branded content strategy and production execution for various brand name clients; American Honda, Acura, La-Z-Boy, Farmers Insurance and Apartments.com. He was part of the team that helped win RPA and its client, Honda, win a Bronze Cannes Lion in Branded Content in 2013 with a partnership and show integration with ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live, and developed a success partnership campaign with Marvel Studios naming client Acura, “the Official Vehicle of S.H.I.E.L.D.” in films; Thor, Captain America: the First Avenger, and Marvel’s The Avengers. Additionally, product placing Farmers Insurance in the final battle scene in Marvel’s The Avengers, as well as developing the promotional marketing campaign for X-Men: First Class from Twentieth Century Fox.
Mr. Rossmann was Senior Director of Entertainment at United Entertainment Group, a DJ Edelman agency, from 2016-2019 leading the strategic direction in entertainment and pop-culture platforms, continuing to utilize his experience and relationships for global brands; Mars Petcare and SC Johnson Inc. Mr Rossmann was also an Adjunct Professor in the College of Business Administration at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles sharing his passion, knowledge and experience in entertainment marketing to undergraduate and graduate students. His students assisted in developing marketing strategies for Twentieth Century Fox’s Greatest Showman, The Darkest Minds and the box office sensation, Bohemian Rhapsody, as well as many others.
In 2019, Mr. Rossmann relocated to Austin, TX, a state where he was born and raised, with his family starting his own consultancy, Addison+Cooper Media, help brands and media companies strategically share their products, messaging, and voice within media and entertainment properties. He joined the University of Texas, Austin, in the fall 2023, as an Adjunct Professor and is currently serving as President of the Austin Chapter for the Club CMO.
