Cheng Chang is a doctoral student at Stan Richards School of Advertising and Public Relations. Her research focuses on leveraging emerging technologies to address important societal challenges, including public health and social justice, with a particular emphasis on advancing gender equity. She is passionate about exploring how AI can influence audience perspectives and foster more effective and engaging communication strategies to drive meaningful social change. She has contributed to research projects examining consumer acceptance of AI-human collaborated advertisements and consumer perception of virtual influencers in advocating for social causes.

Outside of academia, Cheng enjoys reading, hiking and dancing, particularly K-pop and traditional Chinese dance.
