Yilin Huang is a Ph.D. student at the Stan Richards School of Advertising and Public Relations at The University of Texas at Austin. Her research focuses on corporate communication and social impact, with specific interests in corporate social responsibility (CSR), corporate social advocacy (CSA), environmental communication, and pro-social consumer behavior. She also examines internal employee communication, particularly how strategic message framing and organizational communication shape stakeholder perceptions, attitudes, and behavioral intentions. Through experimental, survey-based, and computational research, she aims to contribute to both theory development and practical strategies for purpose-driven organizations. Prior to joining UT Austin, Yilin worked as a consumer and market researcher across public relations, marketing, and NGO sectors. Outside of academia, you can find her spending time with her dog, hiking, cooking, or watching mystery and detective dramas.
