Josh Anderson is a PhD student at the Stan Richards School of Advertising in the Moody College of Communication at the University of Texas at Austin. His research focuses on science communication and specifically how scientific institutions engage with lay audiences in new media spaces and in the political sphere. He has presented work as lead author at AEJMC which received an award for third place faculty paper in electronic news. Josh has a personal interest in student advocacy and worked in this by representing on-campus residents in the University Residence Hall Association in different capacities during the tenure of his undergraduate degree.
