Jeongmin Ham is a Ph.D. student at the Stan Richards School of Advertising and Public Relations. Her research interests involve studying the psychology of new media and technology. One of her main research topics is to extend the concept of mixed reality with virtual humans, such as Virtual Influencers. A research project she has worked on revolved around Virtual Influencers and understanding how manipulated levels of mixed reality affect media users' perception of technology, consumer behavior, and attitudes towards the digital being. Other research interests include deception, self-presentation, social identity, computer-mediated communication, avatars, and video games.
