Na Yu is a doctoral candidate at the Stan Richards School of Advertising and Public Relations at the University of Texas at Austin. Her research interest is in investigating psychological factors and message components involved in disaster communication and environmental communication. Her recent studies focused on the potential value of 360-degree videos in environmental communication.
She has received research funding from The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA’s) Weather-Ready Nation (WRN) Fund of the National Science Foundation and The University of Texas at Austin Green Fund Program. Her work has appeared in top-ranked journals, such as Science Communication and Environmental Communication.
